The 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2024) concluded successfully in Dubai, welcoming over 2,300 exhibitors and representatives from more than 165 countries. Held under the theme “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship,” the event served as a platform for industry leaders, startups, and travel enthusiasts to explore the future of travel.
This year’s ATM witnessed a significant increase in participation, with a 21% year-on-year growth in hotel brands and a 58% rise in showcased travel technology products. New destinations like China, Macao, Kenya, Guatemala, and Colombia joined the roster, alongside returning favorites like Spain and France. The event also highlighted the growing importance of the Indian market with a dedicated India Summit focusing on inbound travel opportunities.
A key focus of ATM 2024 was the role of entrepreneurship in shaping the travel industry. The ATM Start-Up Pitch Battle, in partnership with Emirates Group’s Intelak, provided a platform for aspiring businesses to showcase their innovative solutions. Environmental responsibility remained a priority, building on the momentum of last year’s “Working Towards Net Zero” theme. Discussions explored how innovation can contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and building a greener travel sector.
Strategic partners like Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel played a crucial role in the event’s success. Sara Voyage was also present, participating in forging new partnerships and collaborations to enhance travel experiences.
