Harichavank – Gyumri (city tour)

Within the framework of this one-day tour we will first visit Harich village, where it will be very interesting to get acquainted with the history of Harichavank, the jewel of Shirak province.

Then we will proceed to discover the cultural capital Gyumri, the country’s second largest city and a cultural gem with a rich history, located in the northwestern part of Armenia. Known for its resilient spirit, vibrant arts, and distinct architecture, Gyumri offers visitors a unique glimpse into Armenian culture and heritage.

One of Gyumri’s most striking features is its architecture, characterized by colorful stone buildings adorned with intricate carvings and ornate balconies, also known from old Armenian films. Gyumri is also famous for its thriving arts, with numerous galleries and studios showcasing the work of local artists. The city has a long tradition of craftsmanship, particularly in pottery and rug-making, and visitors can watch artisans at work in their studios, creating beautiful handcrafts.
