Tour Itinerary

If  you  want   to  fall  in  love  with  Armenia  and  discover  mysteries  of  this  country  of  point,  this  round  trip  is  a  good  opportunity  to  do  it.  This  tour  with  overnights  in  5  cities  includes  the  most  visited  sights   in  Armenia.  You  will  get  acquainted  with  Armenian  culture,  history  and  cuisine. It’s  a  good  opportunity  to  travel  in  time,  going  back  to  the  era  of  paganism,  experience  intercultural  dialogue  that  is  the  ideal form  of  intercultural  communication  while   communicating  with  the  locals  and  be  a  co-author  of  this  ancient  culture.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at the international airport “Zvartnots”. You will be met by our English – speaking guide and transferred to the hotel. Check-in and accommodation in the hotel. Then you will have a city tour around Yerevan. You  will see all the beautiful sightseeings in Yerevan: the main square of the country – Republic Square, the building of National Opera and Ballet theatre, the Swan lake near the Opera House, the architectural complex of Cascade. Then you will go to the Statue of Mother Armenia situated in the Victory Park. From the observation deck a stunningly beautiful view opens over Yerevan. Return to the hotel. Our guide will give you some tips where to eat and to go in the evenings.

Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2. Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

In the morning after breakfast you will see one of the most ancient buildings in Armenia. It is the only preserved pagan temple on the territory of Armenia- Garni temple situated in the gorge and surrounded with picturesque mountains. You can have lunch in Garni and taste Armenian  national dishes. Then you will visit a monastery complex of Geghard which is listed in the World human heritage by UNESCO. Optional: master-class  of lavash (Armenian national bread) baking! Return to Yerevan,  then an excursion  with tasting best sorts of Armenian brandy   at the “Ararat” brandy factory.

Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Yerevan – Sevan – Dilijan- Hagartsin – Tsaghkadzor –Yerevan

After breakfast we will proceed to Sevan   to admire the  blue pearl of Armenia – Lake Sevan, 1900m above the sea level. You will go up the Sevan peninsula and watch St. Astvatsatsin and Apostoles churches (9th C). The next point of our tour is Dilijan, the Armenian Switzerland which is known for its bushy forests, the  architectural masterpiece of monastery  complex of Hagartsin.  You will also visit Parz Lake, located in the Dilijan National Park. “Parz” in Armenian means clear. Next destination will be   Tsaghkadzor and  Kecharis monastery (11-12th C).We offer you to climb  Mount Tegenis (3100 m) by the cable way and admire the beauty of Tsaghkadzor surroundings.

Return to Yerevan.

Day 4. Yerevan-Khor Virap-Areni-Noravank

In the morning we proceed to visit Khor Virap monastery which is considered a cradle of Armenian Christianity. From the walls of the monastery you will enjoy a majestic view over Ararat mountain. The next destination is Noravank, a monastery complex hidden among the red rocks located in Vayots Dzor region. In the village of Areni we offer you a wine degustation because this region is famous for its rich wineries.

Return to Yerevan.

Day 5. Yerevan-Vernisage-Ejmiatsin-Zvartnots

We recommend you to visit the Vernissage –an open air fair where you can buy national  souvenirs made by local craftsmen. You will visit the spiritual and administrative center of Ejmiatsin  which is  one of the historic capitals of Armenia and the main religious center of the Armenian people with the Ejmiatsin Cathedral, the most important Armenian Apostolic church. Besides the Cathedral you will visit St.Gayane, St.Ripsime and St. Shogakat churches. On the way back –another object from UNESCO heritage list – the ruins of Zvartnots cathedral.

Return to Yerevan.

Transfer to the airport to your flight.
