Since ancient times the grape has symbolized abundance and fertility, hospitality and holidays, youth and fun. According to biblical legend, Noy, after the flood, planted vines in the lands of Mount Ararat – thus began the tradition of winemaking in the territory of modern Armenia.
What is the secret of Armenian wine? Hardly anyone would argue with the fact that the taste of the drink depends on the climatic conditions in which the grapes were grown. The unique composition of soils allows to receive berry with amazing taste and unique aroma.
Here is a wine tour to Armenia – a unique journey for true wine connoisseurs. Our aim is to introduce you to the culture and history of our country, to show you the process of production of famous Armenian cognac and wines, as well as given the opportunity to taste them.
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Yerevan. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Check–in at the hotel.
Visiting ‘’Ararat Brandy Factory’’ tasting brandy 3-5 types.
Dinner independent.
Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 2: Yerevan /Khor Virap /Areni/ Noravank/Tushpa Winery/Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Khor Virap, the site of royal prison where St. Gregory the Illuminator was held for thirteen
years before converting Armenia into the first Christian nation in 301. Exploring tour of the site, with
its underground chambers, elegant chapels and ascetic atmosphere.
Visit to Areni factory.
Visit to the 12th century monastery complex of Noravank with rare flora.
Visit to a family “Tushpa winery”, with a special excursion and dinner.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Back to the Yerevan.
Dinner independent.

Day 3: Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory "NOY"
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visiting “NOY” Factory, taste various types of brandy and wine.
Lunch at the local restaurant.

Day 4: Yerevan/ Sevanavank/Dilijan/Haghartsin/ Goshavank/ Ijevan wine factory
Driving to Sevanavank Monastery- a monastery in the north-west coast of Lake Sevan. The monastery is located on a peninsula, which was once a small island. We continue our tour to Tavush region of Armenia – to a small town of Dilijan. The next stop will be Haghartsin Monastery (11-13c.). We will also visit Goshavank – monastery complex(12-13c.). Goshavank is the cultural, educational and religious center of medieval Armenia.
Afterwards we go to the city of Ijevan, where we will have an excursion to the Ijevan winery, built in 1951. Ijevan winery is one of the leaders in the export of Armenian wines and brandy. And, of course, after the tour we will have wine tasting of 6 varieties of Armenian wines.
Lunch in a restaurant with tasting of national dishes.
Back to the Yerevan.

Day 5: Yerevan/Zvartnots temple/Ejmiatsin/“Voskeni” Wine Factory
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the Armavir region.
Exploring tour to Ejmiatsin Cathedral, which is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic
Church. The main temple construction belongs to the 4th century AD.
Visit to Voskeny Winery. “VOSKENI Wines” located at Sardarapat, Ararat valley is a family owned and managed winery. Wine tasting is going to take place, lunch and an excursion.
Lunch at the Voskeny Winery.
Back to Yerevan.
Dinner independent.

Day 6: Yerevan / Armenian Alphabet Monument / Saghmosavank / Amberd / “Armenia wine” factory/ Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Visit to Armenian Alphabet Monument. In 2005, the Armenian alphabet celebrated its 1600th birthday. In commemoration, it was given a gift of 39 giant, carved Armenian letters, strategically placed near the final resting place of the man who created the alphabet, Mesrop Mashtots. Next visit to Saghmosavank Armenian monastic complex 13th century AD.
Trip to another nearby monastery – Hovhannavank. It dates back of the 13th century AD.
Hovhannavank’s Cathedral belongs to the category of «Gandzasar-style» ecclesiastical edifices that were built approximately at the same time in different parts of Armenia.
Visit to “Armenia wine factory”, with an excursion, wine tasting and lunch.
Lunch at the Armenian wine factory.
Back to Yerevan.
Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Dinner independent.
Day 7: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to the airport for departure.
